Absolutely lovely hotel staff are very helpful and friendly food was amazing and table service was brilliant well done to the lads and the chef as we were a large group of bikers definitely will be back fully recommend the poolewe hotel
Stayed last night. Staff were very friendly and helpful (doing the NC500 and were offered plenty of local advice). Rooms were clean and warm with comfortable beds. Shower was good. Dinner and breakfast were great and the bar was good fun! Would recommend and stay again!
The food (we had burgers) was absolutely fine and good, even prices and the size of the meal were good. But the mayonnaise had its due date in 2023 (it was July 2024) and the service was not the best, seemed that they didn’t want us to be there - we came spontaneously without reservation). That was a bit sad.
On arrival we were greeted by the staff who remained friendly, approachable and helpful throughout our stay. The food was perfectly acceptable. We enjoyed an undisturbed night’s sleep. A big shout out for Nick who was very affable and, for whom, nothing was too much trouble.
Room was really clean and comfortable. A little on the small side but had everything we needed. Shower was nice and powerful with plenty of hot water. Great bar with a large selection of beers, wines and spirits. Staff were really good, and really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Evening meal was good, both had steak and ale pie. Breakfast was superb, now a fan of tattie scones!
We stayed in this hotel during a tour of Scotland on our motorbikes and it was perfect for us. Great location, great staff and a bar and restaurant onsite, perfect after a long day of riding. The staff couldn't have been more accommodatiing and Gary the owner helped us with receiving and posting parcels, we needed to during our stay. Poolewe hotel isn't 5 star and it doesn't pretend to be, but if you're looking for a clean, comfortable stay with everything you need onsite, it would be worth considering.
The rooms were great: very clean, fairly spacious, tastefully decorated with an assortment of tea and biscuits to welcome you. There is a reasonably spacious bike shed. The check in staff were great and let us check in early. The restaurant was struggling to staff itself. We ended up with a nice, but seemingly inexperienced waiter. Ultimately my friends and I had a good time and would recommend this place to fellow travelers.
Booked a small double for 1 night. It was in bedroom blavk at back of hotel. The info said it was small and it was but it was very comfortable, great shower room. Lovely big window. It suited our needs perfectly, clean & comfortable. Staff were friendly & helpful. Yes the restaurant/bar area is basic but it's functional, clean & serves food! Nice wee menu. Food & service were great! We enjoyed our stay! It's a 3 star hotel being just that!! It's was ok by us!! We'd definitely stay again.
